F. Paul Wilson's
Repairman Jack:
Scar-Lip Redux
For F. Paul Wilson’s Repairman Jack: Scar-Lip Redux, I designed the cover and all non-story elements, shaping the visual framework that surrounds the narrative. My goal was to tailor my approach to Wilson’s gripping storytelling and produce a package that immediately set the tone for readers. I needed to let the visuals reflect the novel’s intensity without overshadowing the text.

My Approach
The cover guided my choice in typography, the decision to combine manipulated story art and an overlaid pattern, and the orange/yellow/purple color palette. I kept the overall design clean and sharp while incorporating contrasting organic shapes.
Reflections
This project highlighted the power of design to amplify storytelling. By aligning visual identity with narrative tone, I was able to build a reading experience that matches the story from cover to final page.
